Pick-up/Delivery

It is not required to make an appointment for the pick-up of your passport. However, please note that passports can only be collected from Tuesday to Friday (excluding public holidays), between 8am and 9.30am.

If you wish to have your passport sent to an address in the Philippines, kindly note the following:

The Embassy hands over the passports to the external service provider VFS, which sends them via LBC. The courier service fee is PHP 300 and has to be transferred to the VFS Services bank account. You will be contacted by VFS once your passport is ready for delivery.

VFS Account Details:

Bank Name: Banco De Oro
Account Name: VFS SERVICES PHILIPPINES PRIVATE INC
Account Number: 005400331468

Bank Name: Union Bank of the Philippines
Account Name: VFS SERVICES PHILIPPINES PRIVATE INC
Account Number: 002230003532

The Embassy points out that it cannot be held responsible in the event of late delivery, damage or loss of the passport during delivery. Shipping is at your own risk!

It is recommended to personally pick-up the passport, since fingerprints are deleted from the system once the biometric passport is issued. Should you later discover that the information in your passport is incorrect, you would have to book a new appointment and go through the application process once again.

There are two types of passports for children and young people:

  1. Biometric passports: Biometric passports can be issued from birth on. We recommend applying for biometric passports, as the children’s passports are not recognized in all countries outside the EU. Biometric passports for persons under the age of 24 are valid for 6 years and are printed at the Federal Printing Office in Berlin.
  2. Children passports: Children’s passports are simpler (non-biometric) passports and are usually issued within 5 working days. Children’s passports have replaced the green, folded children’s ID cards and are only valid for 1 year, but no longer than to the age of 12. Children’s passports are not accepted for the visa-free entry in the US, for instance.
