The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Manila is looking for a staff member to fill a vacancy in the Legal and Consular Section of the Embassy by April 2025.

The position is to be filled on a fulltime basis (38,5 hours/week). An initially temporary contract is offered with a probationary period of 6 months.

The duties will cover clerical and telephone service in the fields of passport applications, civil reg-istry, legalization of Philippine documents, preparation of authentication of photocopies and sig-natures as well as consular certificates. The daily routine includes counter work during visits of consular clients (both German and Filipino), acceptance of fees, preparatory correspondence with consular clients and authorities, forwarding of letters.

The salary is paid according to the salary scheme applicable to the Embassy in Manila.

The Embassy expects

  • training and/or practical experience in an administrative, secretarial or legal profession and/or a university degree, more specifically a degree from an institution of higher educa-tion
  • excellent command of both English and German (written and oral)
  • experience in the use of IT-based text processing programs and the willingness to work with new IT programs
  • professional and pleasant personality and ability to work in a service-oriented manner within a team, even under pressure.
