The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Manila is looking for a staff member to fill a vacancy in the
Press and Cultural Section of the Embassy
The position is to be filled on a full time basis (38.5 hours/week).
The work includes the creation and scheduling of content on the Embassy’s social media channels, the drafting and distribution of press releases as well as the organization of small and large cultural events, press conferences and other media-related occasions. The Embassy also expects, the coordination of appointments, the forwarding and / or independent processing of email inquiries as well as developing and maintaining media and cultural contacts.
The salary is paid according to the salary scheme applicable to the Embassy in Manila.
The Embassy expects:
- Excellent English and Tagalog language skills, both written and oral
- Proven experience in public relations, media engagement, or strategic communication, preferably in an international or diplomatic context. Experience in content creation for social media (FB, IG, Twitter), including crafting engaging posts, visuals, and campaigns, is highly desirable
- Outstanding communication skills
- Experience with the organization of cultural / media events
- Training and/or practical experience in graphic design (e.g. with Canva) and editing software
- Interest in politics and international relations
- German language skills and experience with press relations are not essential but an asset.
