B) Regarding the application for a national visa

Question: In which language must I complete the application form?
Answer: In any case in German language, as this form is submitted to the Aliens Offices (“Ausländerbehörde”) in Germany.

Questions 9 and 10 (Name of father and mother):
Question: Must I state the names even if my parents are already deceased?
Answer: The names of deceased parents do not have to be stated.

Questions 11 (Passport or other travel document):
Answer: “Passport” or description of other travel document - whatever applies in your case.

Question 12 (Authorization to return to (if entered in passport)):
Question: What is this question about?
Answer: The point is to clarify if you can return to your place of residence with your passport or travel document without further formalities (this is relevant especially for members of third party states). If you have a valid Philippine passport, you do not have to write anything in this section.

Question 13 (Entered Germany on**):
You do not have to answer this question.

Question 14 (Have you ever stayed in Germany before?):
Question: Must I state all the times I previously was in Germany?
Answer: It may be sufficient to write: “Several times, the last time on / in (dates, if necessary only the year).

Question 15 (Proposed place of residence in the Federal Republic of Germany (where available: address)):
Question: What to I write here?
Answer: Your application will, as explained above, submitted to the local Aliens Office (”Ausländeramt“) that is responsible for the area in Germany you will stay in. It is therefore important that you specify your exact address of residence in Germany. If you do not yet know your exact place of residence in Germany (area, street, house number), you can state the address of your temporary host or correspondent, who is helping you to find accommodation.

Question 16 (Arrived on**):
You do not have to answer this question.

Question 17 (Do you intend to maintain your permanent residence outside the Federal Republic of Germany? If so, where?):
In this section you will generally have to write your home address in the Philippines.

Question 19 (How are you accommodated?):
Question: What should I state here, if I will look for accommodation only after my arrival in Germany?
Answer: The address of the hotel, in which you will temporarily live, that is the address of your temporary host or correspondent, who is helping you to find accommodation.
In this respect the question is identical with question no. 15.
